Hi all...

My sister-in-law has a 2004 PT with the Sentrykey.  I put a RS900-VII in it a few months back, using the existing factory keyfob.  Just recently (according to her) the car would just die while going 60-65 on the freeway (happened twice).  This after using the RS for about 2-3 min before taking off.  I installed the Omega PKUCH bypass and the vehicle has started with the RS just fine for the last month or so (abour 50+ times) without a hitch.  Is there a known issue with this unit and a bypass with that car?  I can provide any details if needed.  Any help is appreciated.  Thanks!

The RS-900 have been very reliable for me. I have never heard of a rs causing the car to die at highway speed. I would pull all the fuses on the remote and disconnect the bypass and see if she still has a problem. At least you will be able to eliminate weather it was the rs or not...

I totally agree.  I think my S-I-L is cursed. I put an Omega in her old '97 Taurus and she had plenty of problems.  I put a RS900 series in my last 7 DC minivans and none of them had issues.  Besides when you hit the brake the RS switches control back to the native electronics.  I don't understand.  But I will disable it for a few days/weeks to see if the problem continues.  Thanks!
