I have a few questions about what items to get for my system

i have 2 AW1206T Audiobahn subs

120oz Double Stacked Strontium Magnets

Power Handling: 1100 watts R.M.S.  2200 Watts Peak
Frequency Response: 20Hz - 500Hz
Efficiency: 96.4dB
PHAT 2" Multi-layer Foam Surround
Stamped and Balanced Aluminum Cone
2.5" 4-Layer AVS Voice Coil
Dual 4 Ohm Voice Coils
2, 4 or 8 Ohm Operation
Mounting Dimensions: Depth; 6 3/4" Hole; 10 7/8" Diameter; 12 1/2"

im looking for an amp to power these but not sure what to get, im looking at an Audiobahn A1500HCT but from what i've read audiobahn isnt that great

Pffft, thumbs down to Audiobahn...

Do yourself a favor, get rid of them subs. Give it someone who wants cheap subs for a cheap price.

Get something brand name. That has reputation! MTX, Eclipse, JL, Orion, Kicker, etc. Something of the likes, you will be happier.

Vehicle: Mazda B2200 1989 X-Cab
Audio System:
1. (2) MTX TA3401
2. (2) MTX Thunder 7500
3. (1) MTX TA3202
4. Eclipse Fujitsuten SC8264 Component series
5. Pioneer Premier DEH-P770MP

Was wondering if this Hifonics BX2200D amp would be any good to push 2 12"  Audiobahn AW1206T subs

and im not sure on the ohms, if the subs are dual 4 ohm impedance, would the amp run at 2 ohms?

and also does the amp have a heatsink or cooling fans, sorry im a novice at car stereos =(

Looking at the Hifonics specs....I'm guessing you'll DESTROY those Audiobahn subs...make sure you have a spare set of subs!

2000watts @ 1ohm. NO fan.

Unforunately audiobahn is one of those companies that doesn't list the most honest specs and so forth. But that amp is a fairly powerful amp for the price. So maybe different subs and the same amp

those subs claim to take 1100 watts RMS.  for the price range you looking for in an amp i would go for a hi fonics bx1605d  1ch x 1600w for about $275 or a hifonics bx2005d 1ch x 2000w for about $350.  For the money they are damn good amplifiers that will move those speakers, i think youd be happy with the result
