What brand and model of bypass are you using, and did you program it correctly?

On Fords i use duct tape to hold the ring in place. Make it tight against the very front of the cylinder, so the plastic shroud actually touches it. Make the ring as small as can be around it.

If your bypass has a ring on it, I usually remove the key cylinder and install it directly to the Pats unit. To do this use a small scratch awe and push on the little ball (bearing) on the bottom of the key cylinder, turn the key to the on position and pull out the cylinder, works every time.

If you can't find a spot to put the ring, cut the ring off, remove 4-5 inches of insulation on each wire, wrap and tape the wire to the cylinder. If you still don't know how to program, post again and I'll give some suggestions, but it should say in the installation instructions.
