I have a 2002 gmc yukon and i am trying to install a downline converter to run rca cables from my factory radio to my amp.  I have found many wiring diagrams for my yukon but none seem to be right.  they all say that the negative wire to the left rear speaker is yellow but there are no yellow wires on my radio.  there are many other wires that i cant find too.  can anyone help me!

Chances are that you must go to the speaker itself and not behind the cd player to take the signal. If the factory stereo has a hidden amplifier, you must tap into the lines after the amp and not before the amp (which is between the cd and hidden amp).
Top Secret, I can tell you but then my wife will kill me.

ok i went to the left rear speaker and sure enough the wires were brown and yellow just like my diagram says so the colors of the wires must change to the radio.  so thank you for that but, how could i wire this converter at the speaker considering that i have to hook the converter up to every speaker.  and how can i tell if i have an amp?  i do have a factory subwoofer in the very back of the car does this mean i have a factory hidden amp?

Your factory amp is behind the glove box.  You can get all the wires there.

It should be orange, but if you're bypassing your factory amp you should have no need for it.
