DRL on a 1999 Chevrolet Blazer

Hey, I have well.. a 1999 Chevy Blazer, and I want to disable JUST the DRLs not the automatic headlights (I think that's pretty sweet). I know i can throw a resistor in photocell location to kill the AHL, but i just want the DRLs gone. The dome light 4 times does not work for me... trued for quite a bit of time. I am thinking of just taking the DRL/highbeam bulb out and cutting the end of the positive input for the DRL. because thats the only time that filiment is illuminated, but i am just wondering if anyone else had any ideas. yeah melting plastic, i did what that spot said, seemed easy and worked great. all i did was bend pin#86 out of the way on the DRL relay. Pretty simple, and worked great. thanks alot :-D.
