any you guys know off hand exactly whats current an spdt relay uses for the coil.
was gonna hook up a n/c circuit immobilser but wanna work out the current draw

hi,

from a bosch relay website...12 volt spdt relay...140~160 mA.

   I think its more like 30mA. Lots of relay info here.

hello again,

the current value would obviously vary depending upon the relay used.  i assumed...(forget that).

from the above site mentioned  "The current draw by the coil of a bosch relay is ~0.160 amps (~75 ohm coil)."

Measure the coil resistance with a multimeter, then 12 divided by that measurement will be the current.
