2001 saturn sl1 stock head/remote wire

can anyone help me find which wire to connect the remote wire with. can it even be done?

To the best of my knowledge, the factory deck doesn't have a remote trigger output wire. You may have to use one of the yellow accessory feed wires at the radio instead.sparky

What exactly are you trying to do? If you are replacing the factory deck with an aftermarket one, you don't need to hook up the remote wire unless you need it to turn on an amp.sparky

put a dmm in the connections with the factory stereo hangin out of the dash to figure out where the 12v connections are, and then make sure the one you want is remote, and not constant. i made that mistake once. hooked the amp up to the constant, then put the whole radio and console back together. after realiziing it, 45 minutes later i was done. haha, check it before you close the whole thing back in and it shouldnt be that bad. and odds are it wont mess anything up, if you are concerned, possibly put a 1 or 2 amp fuse inline with the wire your running out from it. amps remote wire doesnt ever really put much power through it, just a signal to turn on, should be fine99 Blazer LT.   Yellow Top.
