I have a 93 Chevrolet pickup and I just got a second remote for my cs2400 model starter. I Used the hood pin to program the new remote but it doesn't start the vehicle. It will turn the lights on for about 3 to 5 seconds then just shut off. It will not even turn over the engine but if I start the truck and hit button 1 while it is running it keeps it running when I turn the key off and get out. I can shut it off with the remote but not start again. I also tried the old remote and it is doing the exact same thing. I thought that maybe it had something to do with a low vehicle battery but I put a draw test on it as well as a charging system test and it all checks out good. Anything I could have messed up when programming new remote?

Check your fuses. 2 30A on the starter harness. SOunds like the starter/accessory fuse is blown.
If the switch is off, it won't even go into the start sequence, so that rules that out.
I would say it is one of the 30A fuses......

I checked for fuses and didn't find fuses but 30A relays. Both don't click when I try it. I have also checked the switch and it is in proper location. I took the box apart to watch the relays inside and when it tries to start the one relay clicks. How do I check the tach level?

Check both reds at the unit.... make sure they are both getting 12V.
Tach has nothing to do with your problem. A wrong tach setting on a CS unit will make the starter hang, but it will still crank.
