I just installed a compustar (CM3000 brain) in my 2006 diesel and I cannot figure out how to get it to wait before it starts, I see in the manual it has a wait to start mode, but I cannot access it through the remote menu. If any has an idea on how to turn it on that would be great.

You need to use the outboard programmable module. You cannot do it through the menu function at all.

You could always take the module to a shop that has the programmer and ask them to do it for you. A 20 second pause before starting should enough.

The wait to start is a wire that must be hooked up. Some of the newer vehicles do not have a wait to start wire to hook to. If this is the case, you will need a PAC TR7 triggering device to send a signal onto this wire at a predetermined (programmable time). A second note here is to send the brain back to Compustar or find a retailer that has a Compustar programming tool as it is the only way to change the wait to start time internally. There is not a user accessable option for changing the wait to start time, too bad, it would make sense to have it there.

The other option is to have the systemtimeout at 18 seconds if this is enough time before the glow plugs turn off. If this is enough time, then use this option on the CM3000 otherwise the programmer or a TR-7 as suggested will be your options.
