does anyone know how to wire a 1990 chevy g-series van with an alarm that will shock whoever the hell tries to break into my van next time(i know that it is illegal in canada to set booobytraps like this but i am willing to risk it if it means teaching one of these *&^%#$%^@ kids a lesson).
i know in south africa people have flame throwers on the sides and rear of their vehicles - all i want is a little defense and peace of mind.

Not again. You may be angry but that is no reason to risk your personal freedom to teach a thief a lesson.

i live on the 15th floor of a building with a stupid strata council and elevators that never work properly. my goods would be sold and bought and sold again by the time i made it to my van. it doesnt help that the clearance for my stupid buildings underground is 6'3" and my van is at least 7' so i have to park across the street and down the alley in the only parking lot available with monthly parking. this is my 2nd van. my first one they broke in through the passenger side vent window (destroying it) then again by punching out the passenger side lock then again through the sliding door (again punching out the lock) and AGAIN through the back doors. the stupid thing is that after the first one (where they got all my tools, my stereo, my cats litterbox???? as well as my insurance papers and a wack of other misc goods) i STOPPED LOCKING MY DOORS and they still 'broke' in. i just got a new van and this is not going to happen again.
my other option is to camp out in my van with a shotgun...

Is this thread going to shut down too, cause that's kind of like saying that it's not ok to have a gun in the house.
Skinithooligan you dont have much of a choice unfortunatey. An alarm with a siren, horn honk, and maybe an air horn would be the only way to go. I had devised a plan on somehow squirting mace out the side of my windshield with washer motors but as soon as someone gets hurt, we'll be crucified, not the thief.
