Hi,

Just a general question, if an amp is rated 2 ohms stable when bridged and I connect 2 4oms rated speaker bridged parallel to the amplifier they become a 2 ohms load right?

Why do they sometimes turn off is is just my gain set tooo high?

thanks.

It depends on the amp (please post make/model) but yes, two of the most common causes are gain set too high or low voltage due to overloading the alternator.  Does the amp have a protection light?  Does it come on?

The customer  is now gone, he will be back on Saturday. The Amps does have a protection light and it was coming on , I will just try to lower my gain.

Thanks,

Jorge.

it could be a lack of the output voltage on your head unit . we had a prob like that in the bay the other day cuz he was running a factory deck so we tryed a new alpine and it worked great. so try lookin up the output voltage on the head unit
