I recently installed a R/S For a Customer, and they wanted the reardefroster To activate when it remotely started. No one at my job knew how to wire one up! So I tried a few things and ended up installing a relay To activate the same wire that became 12 volts once the defogger was turned on. This would work for about 4 seconds and then blow the fuse for the heated side view mirrors. I guess the rear defogger is on the same ciruit as the miirrors, but has it's own fuses.  This customer is very determined to have his defroster working or we are uninstalling the R/S. Any insight on this subject would be greatly appreaciated, Thanks in advanced.

there should be a wire from the switch that provides a low current negative output to activate a relay for the defroster. You should be able to just tap this wire. I don't think that any wiring diagrams will provide info on this particular wire, you'll just have to test the wires coming off the switch.
