I tried searching here and other places ( maxima.org ) and I am sure it's something simple that I am just not understanding/reading correctly but I need help with wiring it up.
car - 2000 Nissan Maxima SE automatic ( factory keyless etry/ remote trunk)
remote start unit - Valet 562T w/ 556U by pass
The issues I am confused on I'll highlight in bold
main harness
H1/1 orange = (-) 500mA Armed Output ?optional?
H1/2 white = Parking lights(+) RED / blue location: drivers kick panel
H1/3 WHITE/ blue = ? ?????? activation input??? diagram shows what appears to be a pushbutton momentary switch going to ground.
H1/4 BLACK/ white = ? (dome light) door trigger
option 1 - White (-)location: Right Hand Side of Steering Column ;
option 2 - relay 8616, lt. blue drivers door pin 29, RED / blue pass door pin 40, RED / white rear doors pin 28 SECU, use all 3 and diode isolate each
option 1 is listed here i believe, option 2 came with the starter. Which should I use?
H1/5 n/a
H1/6 blue = ?progressive door unlock ?????can this be used to make it so the lock system works as with the factory remote, one push drivers, two pushes all
H1/7 n/a
H1/8 black = chassis ground connection
H1/9 n/a
H1/10 brown = Horn Trigger: GREEN / WHITE (-) Location: steering column
H1/11 red = 12volts: green (+) Location: ignition harness
H1/12 RED / white = channel 2 output, Trunk Release: blue Location: pin 12 at SECU( 8616 relay)
========================================================
heavy gauge relay satellite wiring
Purple - Starter: BLACK/ red or BLACK/ wht (+) Location: ignition harness, connect to starter side
Green - Starter: BLACK/ red or BLACK/ wht (+) Location: ignition harness, connect to key side
Red(2) - 12V+ ??? Ignition, constant??(high current for relays) there are two wires, connect both or only one?
Orange - Accessory: RED / yellow (+) Location: ignition harness
Pink - Ignition: BLACK/ red (+) Location: ignition harness
Pink/White - Second Accessory: WHITE/ blue (+) Location: ignition harness
RED / White - ???? 12V input connect to additional 12V source, fused is this for an optional add on? or is it supposed to be connected to something?
=================================================
aux harness
H2/1 violet/black = ?? channel 4 output ?? optional? I assume this is for an additional remote controlled output if desired, correct?
H2/2 GREEN / WHITE = Factory Alarm Arm: ORANGE / black (-) Location: pin 41 at SECU ??? relay required??? the install book says to use relays, but there's no mention of them with the supplied diagram, only 2 additional relays wer supplied one for dome supervision/door trigger, and one for trunk release, do I need an additional relay for each output of the factory arm/disarm? also is the vehicle theft system considered the factory alarm, or would this be for an actual alarm with a siren etc?
H2/3 Gray/Black = n/a diesel
H2/4 Light GREEN/ Black = Factory Alarm Disarm:ORANGE / blue (-) Location: pin 30 at SECU ??? relay required???
====================================================
remote start harness
H3/1 Blue/White = rear defrost ?? possible??? what wire? how?
H3/2 Gray = Hood Pin: yellow/red (-) Location: pin 27 at SECU
H3/3 Brown = Brake Wire: RED / green (+) Location: brake switch or drivers kick
H3/4 Violet/White = Tachometer: WHITE/ green Location: instrument cluster or white green wire at ECM
H3/5 BLACK/ White = Neutral Safety Wire      GREEN/ Orange (-)        Same as Reverse Lights
Supplied on/off toggle switch wired in. Is it required to wire into the neutral safety switch or just run this through the switch to ground?
================================================
door lock ??????????
H4/1 Green = (-) lock (+) unlock
H4/2 n/a
H4/3 Blue = (+) lock (-) unlock
Ok I have 2 problems here.
1 I am not sure what the difference between the lock/unlock motor and power lock/unlock is and which I should be using.
2 Conflicting information. which is right? and can this be used for the progressive unlock?
Power Lock:          gray             (-) Location: pin 23 at SECU
Power Unlock:       BROWN / yel   (-) Location: pin 35 at SECU
Lock Motor:            purple              Location: pin 15 at SECU
Unlock Motor:        WHITE/ black    Location: pin 13 at SECU

Door Lock      GREEN/ YELLOW (-)        Factory Security Module Right Side of Steering Column
Door Unlock      BROWN / Yellow (-)      Factory Security Module
Driver's Lock      Purple (+)      Factory Security Module
Driver's Unlock      WHITE/ Black (+)      Factory Security Module
Passenger Unlock      GREEN/ YELLOW (+)      Factory Security Module

================================================
remote start aux harness
1 blue      = (-) 200 mA output = status input on 556U by pass
2 orange = (-) 200 mA accessory relay trigger? optional?
3 pink      =(-) 200 mA Ignition relay trigger? optional?
4 purple = (-) 200 mA starter relay trigger = connect to relay for second starter wire?
===============================================
===============================================
556U By pass module
Red = 12V +
Blue = (-) status input
Pink = (+) Ignition Input ( not needed?)
Black = Chassis ground ( - )
Violet = (+) Keysense Input (not needed?)
Green = (-) keysense input ( not needed?)

ok i'll try to help on this one.
on the H1 harness the only wires you need are:
red- connects to green on the ignition harness for 12+ volts
black- connects to ground. make sure it is a good clean ground
white- connects to RED / blue in dr. kick panel for + parking light flash
now for the heavy gauge wire harness
connect both red wires to the green wire at the steering column.
hook up the RED / white wire to a full time 12+volts just to be safe.
now the aux harness doesn't need to be hooked up at all, just leave that off of the alarm.
now the H3 harness
the rear defogger wire can turn on an accessory in the car for the duration of 10 minutes after being remote started. dont have a wire color for the rear defogger. just dont hook it up.
the BLACK/ white wire just hook it to ground.
now for the door lock harness
hook the blue wire to the gray wire at pin 23 of the secu
hook the green wire to the BROWN / yellow wire at pin 35 of the secu
do not mess with the lock notor wires, not sure what they do but you dont want to mess with them.
now for the remote start aux harness
all you need to use on that one is the blue wire that should hook to your blue wire of the bypass module.
now for the bypass module
your pink ignition input wire needs to be hooked to the BLACK/ red (smaller gauge) wire in the ignition harness.
hook all that up and it should work. you do not need any of the door triggers b/c this is just a remote start unit.
now if the vehicle cranks and then immediately dies, take the blue wire from the bypass module and hook it to the blue wire on the ribbon harness for the remote start harness and it should work then.
*all these instructions are given on an as is basis and you are still responsible to verify these wires are correct

It's called reasearch and verification. I like to get as much knowledge and input as I can before starting a project.
