I would say the Focal. I don't really like the MB stuff. But that is just me. Everyone's ear is different. So I wish you the best in your choices. I still say Focal all the way.

I would suggest the MB Quart Q series. If I were you I would go and listen to the options above and get what sounds best to you. But the focal and the Q series would be at the top of my list.

Which speakers would you pick? -- posted image.Hi Jeff, good to hear from you.I could get the Q by Mb Quart for around $300 US and the Focals for about $250 US and i think those are good prices, don't you ?,Jeff about Dynaudio would you recomend them ?,they are indeed a tad pricey, more so than Q from Mb Quart or Focal Polykevlar. The Q's are not their top end, those are the QSD's,are you familiar with the ''Q'' or the polykevlar ?Wait for your response and thank you and all who try to help.

Merry Christmas

I have heard the Focals on a board and they are very impressive, but I have yet to hear them in a car environment. What I always tell the customer is that at the $ 300- $ 500 mark, you will not have much difference between speakers excpet the package and the crossovers. The general frequency response wil vary a little but not enough to notice. At this level of speaker quality you will not be dissappointed with any of the brands that you have listed ( MB Quart/Focal/Dynaudio ). If someone tells you otherwise, it's probably because of bias or bad experience, but I think they are all top quality manufacturer's and it just depends on what their warranty is like. They are all priced in the same ball park, but how is their warranty ? Look into this and see what you come up with. I know Boston & MB Quarts will not honor any warranty claims from an internet based sales....so watch where you buy and get the low down on the warranty.

Hello everyone,

I too am in a twister when it comes to buying mids/highs. Im going to be running a pair of Kicker Resolution RMB8's, which are an 8 inch midbass. The problem I am having is deciding between The Kicker Resolution (I belive they are the RS6's for the 6.5 componet set), and the MB Quart Q Line QSD216 6.5 Componets. I will be running all Kicker amps for either componet set. For subs, I am going to be running either the L7's or the L5's in a pair, 10inchers. I just want to make sure that my mids/highs will be able to keep up with all the bass. Any info or comments on the componets would be greatly apperciated. I havent looked into the Focal stuff. If the Focal stuff would out do both the above Componet sets mentioned, I might consider running them.

Thanks,

Kyle
