much thanks out to mexbaja for the great advice on my alarm system, thank you so much. my other question is: my remote start not quite starting my car. it is cranking it, but the time limit is just too short, it would be great if it were just 2 seconds longer. i also have this wire that (in the instruction says to connect to crank (input)) when i connect to the input ignition, and i turn my key to "accessory", it turns on the engine and keeps cranking, i don't know what im doing wrong. please help me w/ my remote starter. thank you

If you are using the GRAY wire you have to wire it to the cut side of the STARTER wire not the igntion wire. If the time is too short you do not have the right tach signal going to the remtoe starter module. Find a better tach signal or use the injector wire.

switch #2 passive arming    ON pasive enable  OFF no pasive arming

switch # 3 ignition trigered door locks  ON enable  OFF no ignition controlled door locks

switch #5 setting this switch to OFF will delete the automatic tach sensor. do no delete auto tach sensor unles system is malfunctioning
