Circuit City installed a security system into my 2005 Hyundai Accent.  I don't remember the brand name of the alarm.  I really only wanted the keyless entry feature since no one would want to steal a Hyundai. LOL.  Anyway, the alarm included a starter or ignition kill feature.  Well, yesterday the ingition fuse blew and the dealer is having a hard time trying to figure out why a brand new car would blow a fuse.

Is it possible that the alarm system caused the iginition fuse to blow maybe from a bad install or just a freek accident????

To keep this from happening again, can I have CC uninstall the ingition feature only and leave the other security features operational????

Thanks for any advice...

Scott

How long ago was it installed? did the fuse blow shortly after?  I have a 2003 chevy suburban, and i had the exact same prob, only it was a faulty oem wire at the starter causing the ignition fuse to blow. It could be the alarm though. I would have cicuit city double check all there conections. they should warranty their work, so dont let them charge you.  hope this helps, good luck.

And remember someone could always steal a Hyundai for a ride to get to the bigger prize like a Caddy or something else. :)

The alarm was installed by CC about 1 month ago.  I bought the car at the end of November.  I hope it is the alarm because that will make fixing the problem easier.
