Hi guys. Has anyone done an 05 RL? We had one in the shop today and got nowhere with it. The wiring info from directechs did not seem correct. The colors of the wires coming off the ignition switch were not the same and even when we hooked these all up to the remote starter the car does not start, even with the sdmart-key sitting in the car. I would love to hear from someone who has done this car. The production date is 05/05

Ok I found the correct info. In case anyone is planning on doing this car please be aware that the DEI directechs info is wrong.
Here is the correct info.
First of all the reason why the car was not remote starting was because the light blue key-sense wire must be hooked up.
Ignition Harness wires:
Battery - White
Ign 1 - White
Starter - Blue
Accessory - Blue
Accessory 2 Red
Parking light - RED / black negative
Brake - light green
Lock - pink in drivers door - have not verified
Unlock - Orange in drivers door - have not verified
Disarm - dark blue at 3 pin connector in drivers door

I've done one of those, and I remember some of the DEI stuff being wrong....but some of it was correct too.
Also, when the car is remote started, it is impossible to then turn the keyswitch on to drive away.
I connected the driver's doorpin wire to the remote start's hoodpin input, so when the customer opens the door, the car will shut down....... he can then get in, restart, and drive away.

can't you turn the ignition switch before putting your foot on the brake if you have the smart-key on hand?
