Hello,

I have recently turbocharged my 1999 Honda Civic DX. And as far as I can tell Stock honda cruise works on a vacume cruise source. However I am at nearly 0 manifold pressure at 120kmph and that would not work well with a vacume cruise. I was wondering what options I have to install cruise into my car. That has a factory like look. I am capable of installing it I just don't know what options I have.

Thank You

Jeffrey

You could try to retro-fit the car with an electronic cruise unit. Rostra sells them and they work very well provided they are installed correctly. i don't know whether or not you could still retain the factory cruise switches to operate the new cruise. It would depend on how they work. The electronic cruise doesn't require any vacuum, as it uses an electric stepper motor. You may also require a throttle adaptor to integrate it properly. Check out the link to Rostra's VSS and Tach info on the left side of this web page for more details.

You can use the Rostra eletronic cruise and use the RF controller available for the Civic's. I've installed a few of these and they are very OEM looking. All you need to do is remove the OEM buttons and install the Rostra control buttons in it's place
