Man! You JL guys are relentless... He said "not too expensive", he did not say  "cheap".  There are plenty of companies out there that make nice sounding components and coaxials for not a lot of money. Just because they don't they don't cost as much as JL audio does not mean they are cheap! Go to www.partsexpress.com and have a looksee....(I'll go back to stirring my pot!)

Take a look at some Alpine Type R's, SPR-17LS for the front and SPR-17LP for the rear. Both will run off of that 300/4 and sound awesome!

well i only recommended the jl since he bought a jl amp is all.. i personally have 2 sets of the alpine type r spr-17ls for my front stage and i luv them... very clean mid bass... tweeter wasn't what i expected but its not to harsh so im very happy with it... you can buy jl components that are cheaper than $500 bucks man... and if not the retail store ur buying them from r cheating you..at last check i believe the XR's were around 300 to 350 here... well under 500 bucks.... i would just hate to see his great amp go to waste and sound horrible cause he wanted "cheap" speakers is all...
