I have several print outs for 98' Expedition. Trying to install 791xv alarm system. According to these print outs the door trigger wire is light blue/white, but when I put my meter on the wire there's no voltage. And I also was told that this wire would come from the anti-theft module where the wires for lock/unlock are located also. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Use the BLACK/ blue wire coming out of the drivers door harness. You can also get it in the harness traveling up next to the keyless entry mod. It's a positive door trigger....

Thanks Mike I'll give a try and let you know if I got it or not. One more thing Mike, do you know what wires to cut for key side and starter side for the remote start?

The starter wire is RED / blue at the ignition switch.

Does anyone know if there's an easier way to get to the techometer wire in a 1998 Expedition 4x4. I know it's pink/white, but the harness under the dash, I cannot get to it. Any help is greatly appreciated.    Thanks

If you are using a dei just go to the uncommon injector wire might work with other systems also just not for sure.

I'm installing a 791xv on a 98 Expedition 4x4. What wires are NOT being used. I'm not adding anything to alarm, just original factory system. A little confused on what wires shouldn't be used.

Thanks.
