Sorry :) Yeah I have tried all those locations. I scraped all the paint away. Could it be that my battery is weak?

does the car run? if it does and you have tried the amp with the car running. no i wouldn't .

when you step down from 5 guage to 9 guage what kind of distrobution block are you using and have you checked those connection?

you said you have brought it back and they tested it without speakers? but no light?

When I had it tested he had a green light. I tried running an 18 guage wire ( the only one that I had that was long enough) directly from the amp to the negative post on the battery. I had a green light for about 2 minutes the n it changed to red. I think it was because the wire got too hot. The distribution block I have is basically just a splitter / reducer. the connections seem real good.

well like i said it sounds like your ground is bad. but you've said you check them and followed good procedure. then when you hook up a direct ground to battery it worked, but did you have subs or speakers hooked up? it will make a difference. if no and the wire got hot and went back into protection you have something wired wrong or your amp is bad. probably wired wrong because you have had it tested. but not wrote in stone.

and if you had subs hooked up and it was playing then went back into protection your grounds are insuffient.

check vechile body/chassis ground from battery. right near the battery to body. and from engine to body.

Yeah I had the subs hooked up. I also tried another amp, and it worked ok, but then it didn't have a protect on it. I guess maybe you're right it could be the ground to the car from the battery. I'll check it out. You might hear from me tomorrow. Thanks alot, everyone.
