I have a 91 Honda Accord LX. A JVC KDLX50 head unit with 2 amplifiers one running to the highs and one to the lows. I blew the low amplifier a couple of days ago and now i have taken that out and am running with no amplifier on the lows. The highs are running fine but the radio is giving me engine noise. I tried moving my ground from the factory on the radio back to the amp, to a bolt underneith the seat in the back, to a different factory ground, and stright to the battery. There is still engine noise where ever i ground the radio. It is not from the RCAs because i put i differnt audio source through and it gave me no engine noise but when i hooked the RCAs back into the head unit the engine noise was there. Is there anything else i can do to make the noise go away?

make sure that the RCA's that you have in the car are not run along side the power wire
make sure that your ground wire is less than 3 feet in length
make sure that your gains on your amp are not cranked as this will induce alot of extra noises in the speakers
