My new car doesn't really have room for a big crossover (ie. MB's huge crossover) so I was just thinking about a good coaxial set up. I used to own the MB 6.5's RCE series and I didn't like it too much. The Hi's are great but the mid's wasn't up to par. So my question is whats a good coaxial set or a component set with a small crossover?
Oh yeah, I've personally heard Infinity's and do not like them at all. Also, my amp is 75rms at 4ohms and 125rms at 2ohms.

The new JL coaxials have a pretty small crossover, not sure on the price though.

One, try to not ever put a crossover into a door. Second, look to the Eclipse or Focal components for much improved midbass response.

I hate running wires through the door. So i guess scratch components out. Hmm I'm liking the JL's any other coaxials?

Look into some Bostons- very similar sound to the JLs but with better midbass response, probably also cheaper, too.  Give them a listen.

Eclipse has a set of pointsource speakers that are a Quasi component that would do the trick quite well for you.
