04 colorado remote start

hi, i am new to remote starts for the most part, i have done a couple but still have alot to learn.
i am getting ready to do remote start and keyless entry on a 2004 colorado. i know how to do hook up the basic wires, but im not sure how to hook up the bypass(DEI's 556lw) and also i dont know how to hook the door locks, any info/help/write ups, would be greatly appriciated.

THis is not a vehicle for  DIY but if you insist lose the 555L and get a Trilogix PLXR it will make life easier you go directly to the battery for 12volt +

your door locks are in the loom coming from the door lt blue and dark blue (test them)

do your testing with a meter only*****

Yep......Scrap the 556L & go for the IB-PLJX or IM-6 or IB-PLXR

No Typical Starter wire

useing a viper alarm do i hook the green and blue wires straight to the lock/unlock wires on the colorado or do i need to do somthing with the 5wire door lock relay?

The 556L can be used for the bypass on this vehicle, the 555L cannot, so if you have the 556L its all good.

556L works great for that vehicle.
Won't work on an H3 however. same vehicle electrically.
