I got a remote start from a buddy brand new and after I have it all installed and go to plug in the antenna I notice the wire has the wrong end on it. There does not seem to be any place to plug into unless it's the "data or AM/FM receiver" port. The end of the wire that plugs into the receiver is black and the other end is brown. What gives with this, is this an AM or FM receiver? I thought they were RF. My install manual does not show an antenna port just the data port along with door lock, valet switch, led and a white one that says "not used". Can someone help me with this.

Some remote starters use an FM and AM antenna. The old Black Widows Had a remote that did one or the other and 2 antenna modules. You might plug it in and see what happens. The antenna is not going to send anything into the module to damage it..
I may be lost but I am making good time.
