installing an autopage RS-750lcd, I have everything working(lock/unlock/rear hatch)-- except the starter function.  The starter wire (from the alarm to the harness), is giving 12V when it sends the start signal but it does not turn over the engine. I have the tach wire installed, and can program the alarm as such. But no luck with it starting.

It does not have a (smart) key or whatever those are called. So right now I am at a loss of what I have missed. Any one have any Ideas??

alarm wiring colors--------------------- truck wiring(steering column wire harness)

violet-starter output-----------------------yellow

yellow-ignition 1---------------------------pink

pink-ignition 2-----------------------------white and brown (using relays)

brown-acc/heater------------------------orange

Did I miss anything??????

Secondary thought is that you may have to turn on the remote starter function from the alarm system or it could be like a couple of systems I have worked on where
the valet switch has to be turned off

You may have that " nysterious" PINK/WHITE 3rd ignition wire. Look for this and power this connection up as well.

pink/white--their was not...but it did motivate me enough to tear apart the dash and look for it. After not finding the pink/white...i used the wise quote above "test with a multimeter" and found that the installer must be smarter then the starter kill relay..After realizing i was trying to "start" the car before the relay...well you can figure the rest.

Needless to say all is working well, and I must say that thanx to this site I now know more than I will ever need to know about a relay97 GMC yukon Remote Start -- posted image.

thanks to all of you that took the time to reply and try and help me out..It's much appreicated!!!!!!
