I test fitted the box and found that i measured wrong... the box was hitting the rear wiper motor... but luckily the motor didnt work so I ripped it out but wanted to retain ym rear wiper and aviod having a hole in the hatch so i put together a simple bolt/washer/nut combination that took care of the issue without a problem.

here are the pix ***

haha. not waking up... being awake and staying awake all night working on it... cofee is grand. it's as done as it's going to be for a while. It's cold out, I dont feel like sanding and finishing it.

it sounds pretty decent actually. the box as mentioned in previous threads is too small for the 15" at around 1cu ft after driver displacement. output is actually less then that of th two 10" boston Pro's i was running. i've come to the conclution that this is because I was running those parallel for a 1ohm load @ 1,200watts RMS. the new 15" is 4ohm and is running 450watts RMS. the good thing however is that even wiht the small enclosure size, it already fills in the lows that the boston Pro's had filtered out due to heavy bottoming out (only 8.5mm x-max as oposed to the 15" woofers 30mm xmax) it sounds very smooth. not quite a punchy as the bostons (obviously) but much faster response than I was expecting. I cna deffinitely see why Eclipse is reguarded so highly.

air space is to small. and i knew it would be when i started. this is just a first project kind of box to get familiar with fiberglass.
it actually sounds quite good though for the box size. much lower hitting than my two boston Pro 10.5lf's
