1996 Ford Remote Start & Alarm

I have a remote start and alarm install set up for two weeks from now, and i havent really installed any alarms i mostly stick to head units, dvd and navagation, i dont know where to start or what im doing except for making connections is it hard? and about how long should it take and any tips or anything i can read or look at to get a better idea?

don't do your first install on a customer car..
test all connections with DMM first find where tp mount brain. prep and tape wires to where they are gonna go.
make conections and solder them.
