Hey guys, I was Googling around for an answer and this forum popped up.  Looks like you guys seriously know your info, so I thought I might ask you guys.  I was wondering if the avistart 4000 was modular.  I'd like to add the 530t and 529t to it for my windows/sunroof.  I saw an opened avistart 4000 at BB (with no parts missing) for a really good price and was thinking about getting it.  I won't if the 530 and 529 won't work though.

Thanks guys!

You can hook up the window roll up modules to the 4000 with no issues.

It actually can do everything you need. It has (-) only doorlock outputs, factory alarm disarm, The only thing it didn't have was siren, LED, or horn outputs. Other than that it has auxilery and if i'm not mistaken a channel 4 output too. So you could independantly trigger the sunroof from the windows.
and if you really wanted you can add lock/unlock to it, depending on the car for a small additional fee (best buy) charges about 24.99 to add keyles to it, + a 514m (relay pack) for 22.99

The 4000's the same as a Valet 561R/ Rattler 369D. It's got lock/unlock, and 1 auxiliary channel, as well as a 3 button remote.

the only down side is the I don't think the 4000 has an orange "ground when armed wire."  With out that wire the unit will not automatically activate the 530t and the 529t.  Plus as was stated earlier, the 4000 only has one aux output so you won't be able to individually activate the 530t or the 529t.
