I've got an aftermarket central locking kit which uses actuator motors to fit to my 1989 mini.

Any ideas how i connect it up to my Toad alarm? The manual shows a number of diagrams but i'm not sure what wiring method to use.

Have done a search but has turned up nothing. I guess i could use a trial & error method but thought i would see if anyone has any ideas first.

The alarm has the following connections:

Grey/Red - Lock Com

RED / Yellow - Lock No

Grey / YELLOW - Lock Nc

Blue / YELLOW - Unlock Nc

RED / Black - Unlock No

Blue/Red - Unlock Com

The central locking kit has:

Red - 12v

Black - Earth

White - Alarm

Brown - Remote control

Blue

Green

No the central locking kit doesn't say whether it is positive or negative. It has a module that came with it, not sure whether i leave that out for the alarm locking and wire it straight to the motors. Any suggestions welcome!

I guess the module is like a brain that tells the locks what to do, with the wires from the motors going into it. The connections are as above. I haven't got the kit with me at present so that's all i can say until i have another look. I wasn't sure whether to use a couple of wires from the alarm and connect them to the module or whether to miss out the module and connect the wires from the motors striaght to the alarm.

use the module test the blue and green wires for 3wire neg or pos system
depending if the locking is pos or neg connect your   alarm common wires to pos or neg and the nc wires to the apporpriate lock and unlock wires on teh CL unit
most aftermarket are neg systems
Why oh Why didn't i take the blue pill
