Hello All,
I've done a search on the forum and can't find any info related to my specific problem, so maybe someone can help me out here.
I just installed a Viper 791 on a friends 06 Tahoe using a 457g interface. I've powerd up the pink and white as ignition wires and the orange and brown as accessory wires. Everything works fine, but when the vehicle is started with the key, I get the Passlock light. When remote started and key takeover, no Passlock light. I've double checked all my wirng and everything looks good. Any suggestions? Thanks.

I just checked DEI web site, are you sure that 457g will work on 06, note at the bottom of their page for that model they have a note to call and they will let you know if it works on 05-06's.

I personelly like the GMDL-BP, no cutting paslock wires, but that's just me.

Double check your commections and reprogram the bypass and see what happens

You don't need to cut the passlock wires with a 457G either.  Todd, did you use the 3 pin plug that comes with the 457G? You don't need it....

Dog-
Interesting...I was under the impression there were no wiring changes from the 2005 models. I guess I'l be giving DEI a call tomorrow.
M2-
I did use the 3 wire harness...pink/blk to key side of passslock and pink to module side. I don't see how you cannot use the 3 pin harness and have no wires cut.   I've wired several of these the same way in the past on GM's and never had a problem.
Update- Ok, so I just pulled the installation sheet on the 457G and saw that the 3 pin harness is only needed for PK3, Cadillac's, or if the security light illumninates after a start. I guess I'll try removing the harness and reconnecting the passlock wires and see if that helps. Thanks.

The 457G sends information for bypassing the Passlock system thru the purple data wire. You need to cut the passlock wires only if you use a 556L.

Yeah if you disconnect the passlock wires that you hooked up your light will go off. I ran into this myself so I can speak from experience. The only vehicles that you hook up the passlock wires on are cadillac models. All passlock information goes through the data wire on this module.
