ok im doin a system in a 2001 3series BMW
this is whats goin in
1 JL 1000 mono amp
1 jl 500.4 amp
2 jl 10Wv2
jl components all around
2 headrest montors
1 tv head unit(ie alpine,clarion etc..not sure which yet)
1 PS2
1 reverse camera
various other lighting and special little items we got planned
want to upgrade the altenator cause i dont think the stock will handles it
the bigest we could find for his car is 180amp altenator
do you think that is enough if i runn all that and put some casp on the amps???
or do i need the 180 and duall battery set up or is that unneccesary
please let me know

180 amp should work fine. what is the stock alt in that car give.
Also... you wont be listening to that at fulll power every second its on unles you want to go deaf. 180 amps should be good. especially with the more currend amplifiers. D block baby!

i have him looking into what the stock alt is/
so running that 180 alt and the stock battery should be fine with all the stuff in there i dont want any dimming or have him get stuck with a dead battery ya know

check ebay. There is a guy on there that sells HO alternators. The biggest HO alternator I could get for my civic was 200amps. If he dosn't have one listed for your car email him.

Upgrade the Big 3 too.
