Hello,

I have to install an alpine speaker type X on a subaru wrx sti 2005  and I would like to know if the spx-177R (6.5'') can fit without cut or if i have to take an spx-137R(5 1/4) to fit on front and rear door panels. If somebody can help me please send me an anser.  Tank you!

Tom

you're most likely not going to fit the 6.5" speakers in there without modification to the door panels. The WRX sti has 5.25" in the front doors and 4" speakers in the rear.
Life moves pretty fast; if you don't stop and look around once in a while; you could miss it.

I think it's actually a 16cm with about a 2 1/2" depth. I think it will work with a half inch spacer.
There is no such thing as free installation!

I couldn't get the spx speaker to fit in there, the hole is to shallow and the door skin is way to close to the speaker to space it out some, the guy may have to settle with a type-r or go custom.
