I have a customer with a Astro 2100 installed in a 2001 Jeep.It was installed by another installer that is out of business now.I had worked fine. She said that now it won't start.I checked it out.The door locks work fine.If you attempt to start it powers up the vehicle but does not power up the starter wire. All fuses are good.If I press the start and then put in the key and start with the key,and then remove the key it will run untill you press stop or press the brake. If you try to start with the R/S it powers up and stays on.I do Ultra units and if a vehicle fails to start,it shuts down and tries again.Help   Russ.

It's a grand Cherokee, and the LED  does not flash unless you stop with the remote or tap the brake pedal(one or two flashes). And it has an automatic transmission. Thanks Russ.

Attempt to remote strt the rig...then let it cycle thru. Then count the LED flashes on the brain. 2 flashes is overloaded output curcuits, or a faulty ground. These astro units are very "ground sensative"

Just for laughs.....check the hood pin!
