Door Locks and such

I am having trouble getting door locks to work properlyon my Dads GMC pickup 1989. I have tried connecting Blk/Redstripe wire and light blue wire and it does not work, I tookthe door panel off and ran a jumper wire to them. Also when I hit the * or start button on remote if it doesn't start on first attempt it will not try to start again, but it usallystarts pretty good and doesn't need to try again but this still is not right. This is a Pro Start 2300, and that maybethe problem after reading this board. But you guys are a great help in an area that is very difficult to get info.Also I asked for and recieved a wiring diagram showingtruck colors and connections, I would also like diagram ofunit to vehicle diagram. thanks so much for your HELP!!!
