05/06 ford rangers, problem with current

idid a 2006 ford ranger with a standard transmission for a compustar remote start and alarm around october of this year, and just recently my buddy that owns the truck says that the truck's battery will be dead if he leaves it for a couple of days, so i decided to remove the fuses and diconnect the relay that seperates the door triggers, and unplugged the relays that i installed. he then took the truck to the dealership to have the truck checked for current draw, they let it sit for roughly an hour to see if the gem module was shutting down, apperantly it wasn't, untill they unplugged the main power plug from the unit and after about 15 min. the gem module shut down no problem. what i don't understand is i've done so many ford truck,mustangs,focus,ect. with that gem module andnever once had a complaint of current draw, this truck dosen't even have power door locks, so the only wire that i used at the gem module was the door trigger wire, and disconnected it before the dealer could see it.

any ideas or similar situations?

do doubt, i think these guys need to spend a little time investing their knowledge into something other than a scan tool. but for the mechanic to come out and tell me this, i think he's only got the info he's got....right? i'm sure he did everything the repair manual told him to and walked away with only a questionable..........well it's gotta be the remote start, well life goes on right?

i hope i get to do another one of these trucks soon, i wanna test that theory.
