I am installing a remote start in this vehicle I have everything so far accept when I try to start it will run for 30 secs then shut off ?? I didnt defeat the factory security thinking it wasnt needed, my question is do I need to tap into it and what signal do i need to send it ?? What wire or wires do I need to tap into??
Thanks

2003 has  passlock ,you're gonna need to bypass it, use a bypass module from Bypasskit.com

If it runs for 30 seconds and shuts down, it's not your Passkey system. If you didn't bypass the Passkey properly, the vehcile would attempt to crank, but would not start. I would look into your tach wire to make sure that it's a clean signal. Where did you tap into for the tach signal and also did the unit learn the tach signal properly the first time ?

I agree with Jeff. You should be using the white wire off the ignition module for tach. Make sure that your ground for the remote starter is into a clean and paint free area of the chassis and not the dash. The factory disarm wire is ornage/black (-) at the BCM to the left of the steering column.
