Wait for the new Alpine "S" series speaker. They now use a soft dome tweeter and sound much better.
There is no such thing as free installation!

Go listen to them both (and also anything else the shop may have to offer) and buy the ones you like the best.

I live in huddersfield in the UK.
Halfords is the only shop around, they push this make i've never heard of before "Mutant". they might have the Alpines, but they wont have the JBLs. I have some Alpines at the moment, I like them, but theyre a bit clinicaly clean. I think I'm going to try the JBLs unless someone tells me theyre S**T.

I'd go for the JBL's personally.
They'd probably have a bit more volume in them over the Alpines so your gonna have to worry about door rattling next. Quality, they'd be nothing in them.
( i feel ya anguish, halfords suck for range. Although they can order in alot for you )

Yea, I went with the JBLs, should be arriving tomorrow.
I found this seller on ebay,
http://stores.ebay.co.uk/Car-Audio-Solutions
I think he gets end of line direct from the manufacturer, seems to have some good prices, but reember to add a tenner for packaging.
Cheers all
