On my remote start, DEI Valet 554R, Everything works fine except the illuminated entry. I used a relay to power the door trigger for the doem lights to come on. I used the neg polarity on the relay, do I need to use a pos polarity? I used the green wire on the alarm as the dome light wire, after the diodes.
help
regards

negitive trigger should be the one that u want to use.  Ensure that u taged the green door trigger wire between the BCM and the diode and not between the diode and the alarm.
Where theres is a wire there's a way.

At the BCM, there is a blue/white wire that is a negative-trigger......it becomes a negative whenever you move the dashboard wheel to the "domelight-on" position.
This wire is low-current, with no relay required; connect the DEI's domelight-supervision output directly there.
Yes, you can also activate the domelight by pulsing the door trigger.......but you will sometimes get the "door-ajar" message on the instrument cluster, even if the door is closed.
