Hi, first time user, first post.

Im looking to start fiberglassing stuff.  and because of my newbie status, i do not know how to search.  is there any good threads or anything i should start reading before i start buying materials and giving it a try?  (tips, technices, etc)

I know a little already from reading my fiberglass books: Fiberglass & composite materials; an enthusiast's guide to high performance non metallic materials for automotive racing and marine use, The Fiberglass Manual; A Practical Guide to the use of Glass Reinforced Plastics, Fiberglass Repair and Construction Handbook

This is the link
Dos and Donts... Do's and Don'ts
And btw.... bondo is not a very good brand of resin...it does give some more room for error than some others but I would suggest going to tap plastics and using their brand. Just my two cents.... I am relatively new to FG.

Pretty much- experiance is the best way to learn. I read everywhere on the internet I could find. I asked around at all the shops and they just kept tellin me dont try it its alot of work... they were right. I made a console for my camaro and it took me 3 months. it was the first thing i ever made. if i were to make another one it might take me a month max...now i have a console, kickpanels on the doors, and i'm making a sub box right now. If you use carpet instead of paint- you can save months and months of work but i always take the hard way out.
