I'm installing an auto-on headlight kit on my 99 Jeep Wrangler Sport.  I found the low beams light... No problem.. Violet/White.   They run up the wiring harness to the driver's side headlights.

The problem is the wiring diagram indicates the high beams come on the passenger side, but I can't find the right colors there.  It seems odd to me that they wouldn't all route on one side.  I mean it's coming from the switch...  Actually switching from high to low beam doesn't now that I think about it...

Anyway.. I'm installing this under the firewall up by the lights, and not under the dash.  If anyone would happen to know where I should tap in, and what colors it would be very helpful!

Thanks!

Joseph

I'll answer my own request.. In case someone else runs into this..

The wires all ran down the driver's side.

Violet/White  Low Beam

ORANGE / Red  High Beam

I believe it was White for the parking lights.

It also required a constant 12V and a switched 12V.  I found these on the wiring harness on the firewall.  I believe it was WHITE/ red for constant, and -ah damn- drawing a blank for the other.   I'll make a note of them the next time I pop my hood.

Anyway.. It was very easy to install and works very well.  LightsON! by DesignTech.  I paid $25 including shipping from an Ebay buy it now.  It can also be rigged to turn your lights on any time you turn your windshield wipers on.  I didn't hook that up yet.  Not sure if I want that... I'm planning on creating a DRL board sometime soon.  That'll take care of that.

Joseph
