Hey guys, this is my first post here. I found this forum while searching and I am looking forward to checking things out. However, I have one problem.
I have had my Avic-N1 in my Subaru since May of 2004. I have had no problems at all, however tonight on my way home I stopped at the grocery store. After shopping I got into my car and noticed that my motorized screen had not flipped up.
It stuck about half an inch out, and wont respond to both buttons that normally open and close it. I have it set to automatically open and close when I start or shut down the car. I made no contact when I started the car, and it doesnt look liek it is damaged or knocked out of track. Its almost like the motor is dead.
What do you guys think I should do? I plan on calling Pioneer of course, but I am pretty sure the warranty is up. Any ideas? Thanks!

This guy can fix it. He repaired mine when it broke.
Top notch service, quicker and cheaper than Pioneer.

Do you thinks there is something seriously broken? I don't think I want to open the uni and work on it, but I was hoping that this was a common problem.
