Does anybody know of an alarm clock that I can dash mount that will supply a ground pulse to the remote start activation wire at a preset time?  Car sits in a car pool lot all day, would like it to start ten minutes or so before getting into it. Is there a unit on the market for this pupose?

Yes,

DEI had one a few years back. I loved it. I will have to dig it up out of my garage to get you a model numner. This thing is sweet. You can program it to start at different times on different days, if the temp gets too hot or too cold it will start. They had it out a few years ago. I will get back to you.

Thanks,
Mike Ward

It is about the size of a deck of cards. Not too big. I had mine mounted in a custom center console in my 97 Dakota, but the truck is gone now. For now it sits in my garage along with my alarm (Viper 791) until I have a car that I want to put it into. IT works real nice.
Thanks,
Mike Ward

Has anyone else had issues with the 556T losing time. I installed a few and after a week they would be behind by at least 2 minutes. I often wondered if i just had a bad batch or if these things are known for that. Thanks, Steve
PS. other than that these units work really slick. I set one up for my mom to have her car running 15 minutes before she got out of work because her car was too far away in a parking garage and she couldn't reach it by remote. What I found especially unique is that you can select oddball days like mon, tue & wed. It wasn't limited to like sat-sun, or mon-fri or 7 days. You could set it for Monday and saturday if you want. It's great for people with odd work schedules.
