Hey Guys,
I'm going to buy 2 of the INFINITY KAPPA PERFECT 12.1 subs. I am just wondering since they are SVC i could either wire them to a sub at 2 Ohm load or a 8Ohm load. What kind of power amp do you suggest I get and what load should I hook it up to.
BTw RMS these take 350 Watts each. I need to know what power amp to hook them up so that they are both being powered near their peak.

what do you wanna spend on an amp. There are hundreds of amps that can be used for this set up. Is there any brand preference you have?

What I mean tho...is what power outputs does the amp need to have... I am unsure..
350 watts @ 2Ohms
or
350 watts @ 4ohms...I'm not sure what too look for

A good name brand amp that will put out ~700 watts RMS @ 2 ohms.
The first amp that comes to mind is the Alpine MRD-1005. The 1,000 rms @ 2 ohm rating is made at 14.4v. So in a real life application, it'll actually be a really good match for your subs.

Make sure you get a good quality amp and put those subs in the right box(es).

I got 2 12.1s in a sealed box with a Phoenix Gold x600.1. puts out 600 watts RMS from 1-4 ohms, wo I';d wire it for 2... only difference is my subs are DVC. But that combination let me tell you is killer! check my site for pics if you want.

No.
You will *not* be able to find an amp that will suitably work with those subs for $200.

icezero, you need to get a mono amp, not a 2 channel, for that 2 ohm load.  Try to borrow some money...and try not to be impatient to buy that you jump on a junk deal.
Build the box so that it performs well in the worst case scenario and, in return, it will reward you at all times.
