my friend just recently purchase a new 03 odyssey or 02 not sure but it came with a dvd player and rear roof mount monitor.  How do I add on another monitor in the front?  Do I need a special connector that connect after the dvd player and it would split to the back monitor or it already has a video(rca type) connector that I can just y-adaptor the monitor? Since I haven't open it up.  thanks

i never took a Honda DVD or Navi internally apart, but i did browse the FSM and Honda does NOT make it easy to interface with, as we tried once with an 02 Oddy with OEM Navi, to get the Navi screen usable for DVD. You will need some type of interface as the signals are not just plain like RCAs, there are data bus cables and all kinds of fun stuff. But it can be done, as a friend swears he's seen it done.

The DVD system may be more forgiving than the Navi. Good Luck!

02/03 Oddy's are the same.

If it is hard to interface an aftermarket DVD with Navi, can you interface an aftermarket LCD with factory DVD?
