can someone in here tell me how microwave sensor work? i've search the forum but none of he post related to it say how it works. i'm gonna install an alarm and debating if i need to install the microwave sensor that came with the alarm. thanks..

send out a invisable signal and stores what part of the signal comes back....after getting a reading it looks for a change in the signal coming back and triggers the alarm

Microwave sensors work in a alarm system by sensing infared body heat. These sensors are recommended when installng an alarm system in a convertible.

it must of been trained at the facory to tell the difference of the sun...lmfao

it is just like doppler radar .....it reads the returning pulse and checks for changes

this is why when it is installed i a soft top ...the rain or a low branch blown by thewind will set it off.

Like said above gotta watch where you put them.

Not near large metal plains

Exposed to sun.

Most of the universal ones I've had change sensitivity depending on the weather. In real hot days the thing does sense anything. On a cold morning the things sensese me taking a dump in the masterbath ;)

Also I had on installed in a Blazer and put it in a 1 car garage and the thing flipped out! Sould just trigger (prewarn) at random times.

They are crap..Way tooooo much of a headache.Your neighbors will let you know if it becomes a nuisance...

they are quite a nuisance if u don't adjust them on a regular basis...i used to use them to trigger customers windows...but now i use the warn away to roll up the windows, cool feature when ur at the park
