I'm wanna buy a double din cd/dvd, with a screen.  I have a 2001 buick regal LS.  I was wondering if anyone had any experiance with the Kenwood eXcelon DDX-8017.  Do you think it's a good buy,  or is there something similar to that, that's real good.  Price of the unit doesn't matter.  Any suggestions or comments would be greatly appriciated.  Thanks for any help you can give.

The DDX is an extremely good unit, actually. I've been witness to it being installed, as well as seen it work, both in show room and in a vehicle, it's just an all around nice unit. I might be a bit biasis considering i'll only Kenwood head units, but that's my personal opinion. I've seen other brands (Alpine, Jenson, Clarion, etc.) come back with multiple problems multiple times. But, i've yet to see a DDX (or, for that matter, XXV, KVT, or the DDX7015) come back even once.
God made Turbo Lag so V8's could keep up.
He also made Nitrus Oxide to make sure that they Didn't.

Anyone can build a 600 HP. V8, takes skill to get a 2.0L 16 Valve to 300 HP.

im not sure of this model....but in my experience...kenwood is the best. heres why. this  system can run a dvd in the head unit sending video to the rear screens, audio from the dvd to the wireless unit, play the radio and display the navigation....all with one head unit. talk about independent. no need for a second dvd player when the driver wants to watch and listen to somthing other than what the rear tvs are playing.
