I went in and was about to buy it. I changed my mind when i heard it was for an auto. I'm guessing it wont be easy to get it running on a manual, am i wrong?

anyways, thanks for those sites. Looks like I'm gonna end up using them

It really cannot be stressed enough, if you are going to install a remote start in a manual transmission vehicle, ONLY put in one designed for it.
Installation really is not more difficult, you just have to bypass the clutch safety switch during remote start to get the vehicle to turn over. There are a couple of threads on here that discuss in good detail what is involved. Otherwise the installation is pretty much the same as an automatic. Just remember to not skip any steps!

Compustar units are designed for both automatic and manual vehicles ( at least the ones in Canada ). Ensure that you have the manual safe remote starts and also, depending on the vehicle, all you need is the parking brake engaged & the door trigger's hooked up to the system to engage the manual safe mode. The clutch on some vehicles is optional because some vehicles do not need to have the clutch depressed to crank.
