Just a quick question. I installed the DEI 555D bypass yesterday on a 1997 prelude,
everything works fine, but the immobilizer light on the dash will continue
to flash after remote started. Is it normal after added bypass module? it just seems very annoying during driving. or the light should be off after remote start. Let me know. Any info would help. Thanks.

So, is it a DEI design problem ? or a defective DEI 555D unit I have?

Do you have the blue wire connected to the Remote Start (status) output or your alarm?

I had the same problem on my car and realized that i hadn't connected this wire to the correct wire.

Hope this helps

Yes, I did connect the blue wire to the remote start status outout. But it still doesn't turn off the immobilizer light on the dash.

so sad.

Although possible it is unlikely that the DEI piece is bad. When you did the installation, did the unit confirm that it programmed?

be careful when reading the instructions because of all the important bits and peices of info that dei gives you.  is there any way that you may have overlooked somthing?  i have not had to use one of these modules so the info in my library is limited, sorry
