i have an alarm siren with the regular wires going into it ,  black and red normal gauge ...and then some (2) really thin black wires   what would this be for ???   the model # on the sticker says : au-72   made in taiwan .   patent pending .......   it is a little older , came out a car a freind bought and he didnt car about alarms so he took it out along with the complete alarm but he just cut all the wires so i cant trace anything .  anyone seen this type of alarm siren ??

Probably a OMEGA / Excalibur Siren.........

Cutting the thin wires usually make it louder

They are either trigger or they could be the loop wire for siren volume

It is an Omega/excalibur.If I'm nor mistaken it's for the chirping function. With the loop and short burst (chirp) is not as loud as a full activation. Cutting it makes a full volume chirp.

Yeah what Floaterr said. It only effects the loudness of the chirp when is triggered. Cut its louder uncut (or in your case reconnected) low chirp.
